I know that some may think that mad, but I love the snow. It makes me very happy. I find that the snow creates a comtemplative space. In the city, especially, I treasure moments of contemplation. I have great difficulty quieting myself.

One of the things I have been doing to learn to quiet myself here in the Big City is sitting in bed with my wife in the morning reading through the little liturgy from Iona.

I discivered Iona while I lived at Richmond Hill. The picture is from Richmond Hill. I have been in this shrine many times for prayer, for spiritual direction, and for friendly conversation. I hope to discover a place like this for myself again. It is a great gift...not one to be taken for granted.
