conjectural navel gazing; jesus in lint form

stock and dragons

I am making stock from the leftover roast chicken from Christmas dinner. It's that kind of day. I'm slowly thumbing through my stack of books and reminding myself about what I've already written for this final paper. Yes, I have one more paper due this term. It's just another 20-page thing. No biggie. I've written a lot of it already since I had to present a seminar paper on the same subject the last week of classes. So, I'm feeling pretty good. I just need to take it one step at a time and not lose focus. I'm writing about my method and methodology of reading a hymnal. How does one read a hymnal as a liturgical artifact? It's an interesting question. Christmas was grand. The cats are still sleeping off most of the excitement. Santa was very good to both me and Spouse. Books abound...and then there's all the music. Even LP's made it down the chimney. It was all far too kind and generous. Santa's like that, you know. Generous. There will be more writing once this paper is over. I'm late on a book review or two and then I have some fiction I want to read. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is at the top of the list. Spouse and I saw the movie last night. Wow. Just...wow. So, now I need to read the books and watch the first two Swedish films. Golly. What an amazing story and what an amazing heroine.
