I like it when Rollins preaches. Yeah. It's true. He preaches like some of the African-American preachers I know. He sneaks up on you. Even though you know the whole point to the sermon is coming, still it sneaks up on you. You know the cliche and still it catches you off guard.
Do you deny the resurrection? Peter Rollins does.
I've denied it. It's tough. St. Peter denied Christ three times. This was before the resurrection happened. Then we watch the community struggle to live the Resurrected Life in Acts. It's painful. It's difficult. It's beyond us.
Still, we deny Jesus and his resurrection.
