Last Sunday I had the great fortune to sing with Impromptu, a Richmond, Virginia based a cappela chamber choir. It was a reunion of sorts. A group of us started the chorale in 1993. We wanted to do something a little differently. We wanted to engage the audience. We wanted to sing challenging music well and blow the fourth wall down. We'd talk with the audience. Entrances and exits would be informal. The whole point was to get people to loosen up and join us somehow. On Sunday the old gang got together. You can find their page on Facebook. There are some photos and a short video clip or two.
What a great day. Thanks, friends.

A blast from the past...1995 (?) photo of the gang...I'm in the last row up there...standing on your right.
