easter sermon musings

I've been working through some things for the Easter sermon. I'm wondering about surprise and doubt. I am wondering what it means to wake up when you lost your best friend or your son or your lover and then to make our way back to the tomb only to find...what? I posted my newsletter reflection on Facebook a week or more ago about "something" happening that caused those who had lost so much, those who were fearing so much, and those for whom God had died, to begin to live again with such grace and vigor. What gives them the political will, to use a phrase that's so familiar now, to live so profoundly. Resurrection is this movement. Resurrection is what causes such a movement. Easter. I dunno...This video is helping.
