Just a quick list of what needs to get done this week...
1. prepare for my meeting with The Medievalist to discuss issues of literacy (not mine, but that of the Middle Ages), violence, aesthetics, and general cognition
2. write essay for the Popular Culture Theory class...I'm thinking about "diaspora" and "nationalism" and how race is interwoven in such projects of self-identification...sometimes unhelpfully
3. comprehensive exam questions: I need them. I need to connect with professors to start discussing them. I would like to present them by year's end. Many questions to think through right now
4. nap: sleep deprivation is making mad, making me crazy
...And a little of Psalm 43 to keep me honest.
O send out thy light and thy truth, that they may lead me
